A Roof That Anchors a Vision
Alma is redoing her whole property around a black and white look. New paint and new windows are coming next (services we offer through our general contractor company), and the roof had to anchor all of it. That is not a decision you make from a brochure page.
The Field Trip
So we took the field trip. Bloomington sits close to the Eagle Roofing showroom, and when a customer is choosing new tile, we go together. You walk the displays, you hold the actual tile, you see the color in real sunlight instead of on a screen. Alma landed on a flat concrete tile in the gray range, and the second she saw it against her vision for the house, the decision made itself.
The Two Week Secret
Here is something nobody tells you about new tile: it gets manufactured for your order. Eagle runs your color, and that can take up to two weeks. We tell you that up front, because a contractor who promises to start tomorrow with custom tile is telling you something is off. The wait is normal. It is the sign your tile is actually yours.
Four Days, Start to Finish
And once the tile landed? Four days, start to finish. Old tile off, deck inspected, new underlayment down, new tile on, jobsite cleaned like we were never there. Two weeks of patience for a roof that will outlive the mortgage.
When Replacement Is the Right Call
A tile replacement is the bespoke version of roofing. When the tile itself is at the end of its life, cracked, brittle, or discontinued, replacement is the right call, and choosing what goes on next deserves showroom time, not a rushed initial. When your tile is still healthy and only the underlayment is done, we will tell you that too, and quote you a lift and relay instead. Same answer we would give a family member.
